After visiting the inner workings of Hoover Dam, you will descend over 500 feet through the rock to tour the power plant. The tour finishes at the Penstock Viewing platform where you get a bird’s-eye view of pipes that transport water from Lake Mead to the dam’s generators. You will find displays here that explain how the dam operates to supply water to the American southwest. Finish your tour of Hoover Dam with a stroll along the top of the dam.
